What is a zine?
A zine is an independently published collection of artwork, stories, and many other diverse forms of creative content. Usually centered around a certain theme, character, pairing, or fandom, it can be a physical copy, digital copy, or both.What is this zine about?
This zine focuses on the relationship between the characters Moze and Jiaoqiu from the game Honkai: Star Rail. There is no fixed ship dynamic, so all depictions of this relationship are welcome!Does this zine have a theme?
The zine's main theme is portraying the relationship between Moze and Jiaoqiu, in whatever capacity that may be (platonic and/or romantic). Canon-compliant, AUs, etc. are all on the table!Is this zine for charity or for-profit?
This zine will be for-profit, meaning all profits made after production costs are finalized will be split evenly among contributors and moderators.Will the zine be digital or physical?
This will be a physical and digital zine with physical merch.Who can apply as a contributor?
Anyone who is 18+ and has an interest in Jiaoqiu x Moze can apply!How many contributors will be included?
We are planning to include around 21-28 artists, 7-11 writers, 5-7 merch artists, and 3-4 chefs!How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors are guaranteed a digital copy of the zine along with digital merch. This will also depend heavily on the results of profits after pre-orders and possibly leftover sales. However, the goal is to send all contributors a full bundle (zine + all merch) absolutely free of charge. At minimum, contributors will be able to purchase the physical bundles at a discounted rate.Do I have to be 18+ to apply?
Yes. Since there is the possibility of a NSFW side to this zine, we require that every contributor and moderator be 18+What are the requirements for this zine?
All pieces for this zine must be original and never published.
Artists will be required to create at least 1 piece in either a page, spread, or comic format.
Writers will be required to create 1 piece between 1.5k and 2.5k words for SFW creators, and between 2k and 3k words for NSFW creators.
Merch artists will be required to create at least 2 pieces of merch from our lineup.
Chefs will be required to create 2 food and/or beverage recipes that fit the theme of this zine and will be asked to take photos of their creations for the zine.
